Yesterday I was challenged by my good friend Stephanie with Stephanie Marie Photography to make a handwritten list of things that I am thankful for. I made myself some tea and sat down at my kitchen table and wrote my list out while my girls napped, and it was actually quite therapeutic! So I thought I’d share my list here, and encourage anyone feeling a little stressed right now to do the same! You can also join the self-love challenge at this link here!
Before I get to it, I want to share my current situation (and I know it could be so much worse): I’ve been drinking way more coffee than normal… but since I’m breastfeeding, not as much alcohol, so I guess that’s ok. I know I showered this week, but I can’t remember what day. I don’t remember the last time I washed my hair. I’ve been rocking a rotation of PJs for 3 weeks. I miss my friends and family. I miss shopping, specifically going to Target. I miss doing my hair and makeup and might just get dolled up this weekend for a date night in with my husband. I haven’t gone anywhere except for a couple strolls around the block in 3 weeks, and I know that even when this is all over I’m still going to be scared to go anywhere. I’m not working at my pharmacy tech job and I feel guilty and sad and I miss my co-workers, but I’m too anxious to leave my house and take my kids to daycare. Right now I feel like I’m having more off-days than on-days, and I’m trying really hard to not get into a dark place. However, I’m usually a pretty positive person and can always see the bright side to things, so I think I’ll be okay. I’m ready for some true spring weather! While temps in the 50s are nice for my toddler, it’s not so nice for my baby, so I need the temps to go up just a bit so we can get some more sunshine! Last week I had a fever and a stomach bug, and I was absolutely terrified I had the Coronavirus, but it came and went and I’m feeling much better and no one else in my house got it, so I’m super grateful we are all (currently) healthy!
Ok, here’s my list. And yes, I busted out Elle’s colored pencils for this. There is so much more to this list that I’m thankful for, but these are the basics!

Breastfeeding – saving money by not having to buy formula and keeping my babe healthy while this virus lurks! Also the calories burned while I eat everything under the sun!
The fact that my husband no longer works in grocery… (this is a big one!)
A savings account! (And a super frugal husband!) Thankfully my husband is able to work from home and we haven’t had to use our savings, but not everyone is this lucky!
One important thing I forgot – COFFEE!
I encourage you to take part in this “challenge” – it might give you a little bit of a stress relief! Thanks for reading! XO – S
