Ok peeps, how are you holding up staying home?? Thankfully we had some practice since I was on maternity leave all winter pretty much right up until we went to Hawaii right before everything got crazy. Some days are easier than others – I’d be lying if I said we weren’t going a little stir crazy though. We miss our friends and family, the nice weather is making it really hard to not go to the playground, and how do you get a 2-year-old to understand that we can’t play on the slides?? We have dug out some crafty things that Elle got for Christmas and getting outside as much as we can. Elle got this bouncy house for her second birthday which we have it set up in our basement and it has been a life-saver! I am very fortunate to be able to stay home with my girls, even though I miss work and Elle misses her friends. I have to constantly remind myself that although it is hard, we are beyond blessed that we are able to still afford a roof over our heads and food on our table.

Even though we are stuck inside I am not going to let it ruin our Easter. Holidays are just so much more fun when you have little ones to celebrate them with! Plus we are trying to keep things as normal as possible for the girls. So I have been doing a little online shopping for a few ideas to stick in Elle’s Easter basket, and decided to share these ideas with you all in case you’re doing the same!

Elle loves her piggy paint and most of the time I have to bribe her to cut her nails with it. She loves a mani, and I happily oblige! Elle also loves bubbles and I’m hoping this $8 bubble machine will provide some entertainment this summer. Her hair is getting just long enough to cover her eyes but not long enough to cut, so I want to try these clippies – although she hates me playing with her hair so she’ll probably rip them out, but not going to stop me from trying! These Water Wow books are awesome to through in the diaper bag to bring to restaurants (when they reopen) or in the car, and they’re mess-free so I love that I don’t have to watch her like a hawk when she plays with them. And like most kids, Elle is obsessed with Minnie Mouse, so I know she will love this little Minnie surprise collectible ball in her basket!

Let me know how you all are staying sane right now – I’ve seen lots of ideas online but always looking for more! Thanks for reading! XO
