dress | shoes, similar here (steal) and here (splurge) | earrings | purse,  also love this one | lips in cherry flip

First off, I have to welcome you all to my new and “improved” blog – I say “improved” because I’m still trying to figure it all out, so it may be a little screwy until I get used to it. Secondly, I have to apologize that my posts have been and will probably continue to be few and far between. When I was pregnant I had these visions of the first three months at home with baby looking like a lot of sleep for her and a little blogging and working out for me… aaaand cue all the mothers of the world laughing hysterically. It’s more like me trying to get some shut-eye or “me time” when I am not at the kitchen sink washing bottles and pump parts or me playing the part of a 24/7 food truck – aka breastfeeding. Right now I’m trying to write this post as fast as I can while Elle takes a morning nap that is surely not going to last as long as I’d hope. What is nice, is that the hubs, babe and I were able to take a couple weeks of vacation to spend some time with my side of the family in California and his side of the family in Hawaii – I’m not going to lie, traveling with an infant is tough, but she got to experience so many things and it was truly a joy to watch.

{Check out that side-eye! Normally I’d think that’s all me, but that look has her dad written all over it!}

I had high hopes of producing lots of blog content while we were gone, but alas, the food truck did not close for vacation and I found myself just as shower-less and makeup-less as I do at home. However there was the exception of Valentine’s night when I got dolled up for a Hawaiian luau and allowed myself more than one glass of wine – which, I might add, was much needed. When I found this dress I knew I needed it for this luau, and it made me feel every bit like the salsa dancing emoji that I had imagined. I’ve had these shoes for years, in fact I wore them the very first time I visited Hawaii 9 years ago, and it’s probably taken me that long to wear them again, but they’re the type of shoe you’re glad to always have in your closet. I bought this purse for a tropical vacation last year but we weren’t able to go, so I knew I had to bust it out for this occasion. And these earrings are one of my favorite accessories right now, and I got so many compliments!

I hope you guys like the new layout – and I’ll try to keep up with the content. Spring is right around the corner, and I’m ready to be over this cabin fever! Thanks for reading! XO
